Signs, Signs:

other signs can be found here

After my husband died, I went through his dresser drawers and the end table by the end of the sofa where he always sat.  In it were things he'd saved from his life prior to meeting me.  He'd never showed this and other small items to me.  I knew about his years at Howe Military School, but I had seen only his graduation photo and his yearbooks.  I hung this  certificate on our bedroom wall above other small items I discovered.
I do know that he was proud of the education he received at Howe because he shared stories about his history teacher.  He called him "Bear".  I didn't think to ask him if the teacher was aware of the nickname, but I do know that Charles uttered the moniker with respect.

How nice.
I wonder why he kept it in a drawer?

There are so few military schools left in our country. They have been turned into coed private schools. We have one in our area which is very nice. I know you were happy to find this old certificate. A special thing for the wall hangings. genie
