A Photo a Day: My Daily Sustenance, Day 163

I am turning into my dad whereas almost everything I see or hear leads to a memory embedded in my brain from yore.  I look at this shot I took and I see a scene of when I was age of 6 and up.  I took tap and ballet lessons at Van's Dance Studio which was located on the second floor above Spot Lunch and Cigar.  I also remember riding on a trolley car with my uncle.  In those days, there was a track for it in the middle of the street.
Back to the present...I like looking at the trolley; I like the colors. And I appreciate the clang of the bell to let potential passengers know that it's ready for loading.

Sunday Scans: Bear Pit at McCulloch Park

Bear Pit at McCulloch Park

Linking to Al's Sunday Scans

There were times I thought I might have
either dreamed this up or had mixed
up the bear pit memory with another memory of
a zoo elsewhere.  Then I stumbled onto "Old
Muncie" via Facebook.  Lo and behold, I was right.
In the mid-1940s, I have a faint memory of my
parents taking me here.  No photos were taken by
Mom and Dad, but thanks to another Munsonian,
here is a postcard to shore up my memory.
