Tree was well over 100 years old; newspaper article said 175 years old. I have no idea how or even if, they authenticated that. |
Still another part of the giant oak that fell after being hit by lightning. Luckily, neither my son or his cat were injured. |

Oh my goodness! Glad your son wasn't injured--seems like a miracle with how close that was. We lost a much younger tree this week, and it only landed on our fence. This looks like a major clean up! Blessings and continued safety to you and your family.
