This would be true of just about anything, right?
Again, my sign comes from the Kennedy Branch of the
Muncie Public Library.
Why don't you check out other signs at Lesley's blog site?
I thought I commented here earlier and came back to read the other ones.... maybe not Anyway, libraries are so important and it is such a wonderful thing to be able to just take a book and read it for free.
I love libraries - and go as often as I can. When I want to actually buy a book, I always go to the "Friends of the Library" book stores - every little bit helps!
P.S. Your heart was featured on today's Guest Heart Thursday! Thank you! clytie-randomhearts.blogspot.com
With so many people using ebooks these days, Mrs. Kennedy’s words may come true. I read my ebooks, but I still go to the library, too. There are those times I just want to hold the book in my hand and feel the pages. genie

What a great quote! And so true!
she's right.
Perfect - our libraries are under threat of cut-backs here even though they are really well used!
we definitely do not want dead libraries around unused like dead languages.
I adored Jacqueline Kennedy and I adore that quote
YES! Books are the greatest invention the world has ever known!! So that's a GREAT quote!
How true it is. It's a house of knowledge.
Oh so true.
I love public libraries.
Even with all the technology out there I still love going to the library. Makes me feel peaceful.

How often do we complain about things closing down but when we think about when we last used them realise that we are part of the reason?
