Myah's First Birthday

Taking photos of family and friends, especially at holidays, is something I've done since I got my first camera, a Kodak Brownie.  Back in those days, I usually took one more shot of the same person or event, just in case.  I now take dozens, or even one hundred or more since I've been lucky enough to own a digital Nikon.  I promise that I have shaved down the amount of photos of my great-granddaughter's first birthday that I'll share with you.  They're all masterpieces, because of the subject, not my level of photographic ability!
Presenting...
Myah and Her Party!
Myah likes Dora the explorer...a lot!

She doesn't look really excited, does she?
Oh, well, I guess a baby's first party is really about the parents.
 Do you agree?

tasting... Does she like it?

This was taken before opening the gifts, but the girl has a thing about remotes, cell phones and gaming devices.  I'm not kidding!  She was allowed to have her daddy's gaming device right then because, after all, it IS her party!

I'm not sure she actually liked the cake, but the icing seems to have been used as face paint.  I admire the way she wields those tiny fingers!

Myah's grandma is holding one of her cousins.  He's as sweet as he looks!
