A Photo a Day: My Daily Sustenance, Day 169

First, I was attracted by the glorious beauty of the lily.  Then I noted this horned insect. I "googled" horned insects, but I had no success in finding a similar looking bug.  Anyone out there know what it is?  I'm just curious because this plant is not in my yard.

Happy Father's Day to my oldest son Chip and all the other dads out there or in heaven.  God bless you all!

Wow gorgeous photo! Sorry don't know the name of the insect! He looks pretty harmless though!

It's difficult to say without a larger picture but my immediate reaction is that the 'horns' are, in fact, the abdomen pincers of a type of earwig. If Scriptor visits he's probably know.

eek, the only thing I know about earwigs is from the old 1940-1950 movies!
