A Photo a Day: My Daily Sustenance, Day 184

The beautiful sink that became the lynch pin for  the remodel of my second bathroom is pictured here.  My poor son said that he'd never do another renovation based on a sink!  The problems have been never-ending. Two walls had to be cut into to change the location of pipes and electrical wires. Oh, and the wall tile!  I bought a kit whereas a double-stick mat is put on the wall and one places the tile on the mat.  Sounds easy?  It did to us.  But...it took much longer than if he'd just applied adhesive on the wall and place the tile on that!  Live and learn...
Even though Jeremy had checked numerous times on water flow, draining and the flush of the toilet, when everything was all put together, the toilet would not flush.  So up came six floor tiles (luckily they came up intact), the breaking of the cement board and cutting into the wall wherein lie the pipes.  He changed the height of the pipes, checked for the umpteenth time that the toilet would flush even with water in the sink drain (sink had been unattached).
Suffice it to say, he thought he was finished yesterday.  Then he flushed the toilet once again.  Bleh! No!  It wouldn't flush...so he made a temporary adjustment so that it would flush.  But...he must find a permanent one, hoping that floor tile does not have to be removed once again, etc.

I love the boxes.  Fruit came in the rectangular boxes as a Christmas gift one year from my oldest son and his lovely wife and sons.  They were just too lovely to toss.  Besides their refreshing color, as a retired teacher, I like when words are used as a means of art.

Project 64: Blue Green

I hadn't yet found blue-green for this week's color for Project 64.  However while I was showering I looked at the loofah, and thought, "I think this might be a match."  By the time, I was dressed and getting ready to compare the loofah to the color swatch I'd scribbled on an index card, my granddaughter and Myah had arrived.  So I asked Charley to join me in the bathroom to compare.  She thought it did match, and then she pointed out other items in there.  Since I had to get closer to the box that's on my wall cabinet to photograph it, the height brought attention to my shoes.  Do you know on what I'm standing?  Yes, that's right, the toilet.  tee hee...  BTW, the box didn't match so I didn't include it.  The painting is by a beloved artist of mine- the wife of my son Derek.
Drum roll, please,  Margaret Ann's painting is my entry!

I got the surprising news in an e-mail from Anyes.  I had won a gift certificate for $25 by commenting on her blog "Faraway in the Sunshine."
Check it out sometime; I think you'll enjoy it.
