Since I am short, it's not often that I gaze at ceilings. However, when I was at a luncheon almost two weeks ago with my sister-in-law, the ceiling's reflection on the mirrored wall caught my attention, then drew my eyes upward.
Oh! This reminds me of a game I used to play with myself as a kid when I was bored (and still do sometimes): I imagine the room I am in upside down, and imagine where I would sit and what I would do if the ceiling was the floor. It is quite effective against boredom at lengthy speeches ;-)
now that is pretty cool! Sounds like Librarian above has spent too much time reading Alice In Wonderland and had too much tea at the Mad Tea Party lol!!!!
Definitely an Alice moment altogether. Firstly, Norma, why would being short preclude you from looking at ceilings? And Meike my immediate thought was that most of the times I've been bored have been in lectures or listening to speeches where the ceilings have been even more boring and given little room for wondering as you suggest. But then you may have a much more fertile imagination that I have.
GB, I have constant pain in my neck, so if whatever is higher than my regular point of view, I'll seldom look up. It's only because I saw the ceiling reflected that I pointed my camera there to take the photo.
