Signs

sticker in rear window of sister-in-law's car
She's been a Girl Scout leader and had worked for the Girl Scouts for quite a long time. She's still actively guiding her granddaughter with earning badges.  To me, she's the epitome of the virtues of Girl Scouts.
Another sign for Lesley's blog that could be used for reflections too; I didn't notice till I just posted it here.  This is my sister-in-law's car.  I was fortunate enough she visited me this weekend.

Poem for Anete
Always prepared like a Girl Scout,
Never a name dropper,
Ever helpful,
Timid, she's not!
Everlasting friend as well as relative.

A Photo a Day: My Daily Sustenance, Day 47

It seems to me that my bed-rest appears to be a throne for my Raggedys. I used the bed-rest last night to sit up in bed to read.  So comfy!  Much easier on my neck too.
The smaller Ann and Andy were a Christmas gift some years ago from my generous and accepting husband.  The bigger Raggedy Ann was made by my sister-in-law Marge one Christmas.    I just learned lately that when my husband discovered that his sister was making them for her daughter and granddaughter, he told her that he knew that I'd love to have one.  He was so right!

A Photo a Day: My Daily Sustenance, Day 32

Aren't these Bird of Paradise flowers exquisite?  I have them, thanks to the generosity of my sister-in-law and niece.

A Photo a Day: My Daily Sustenance, Day 24

At prayer yesterday morning, I noticed the shadow cast on my kitchen table.  I love the play of light and shadows.
Speaking of prayer, would you please pray for my sister-in-law and her family?  Her husband died in their home just this morning.
