A Photo a Day: My Daily Sustenance, Day 207

This pine cone wreath was created by son Derek.  It hangs over a bed in a guest bedroom.  Who knows how much time he took cutting out the form, gathering the cones and then gluing them on the circle of wood?  So, I'd dub it priceless!

A Photo a Day: My Daily Sustenance, Day 185

It's been awhile since I have featured a stained glass created by son Derek.
Derek lives with chronic back pain, but he shared with me that working on stained glass projects helps take his mind off the pain.  Imagine that- suffering producing such beauty.

A Photo a Day: My Daily Sustenance, Day 95

I love the design of this stained glass made by son Derek.
I think his artistic talent comes from my mother and his dad.  I can't remember if I've mentioned it before but Charles was the one who designed and made the kids' Halloween costumes.  I wish that I had photos from that time period of our family life.

A Photo a Day: My Daily Sustenance, Day 85

Another wall in son Derek and his wife's home that I find  both attractive and  "reflective."  All of the items are mirrors, none are photo frames.  Derek has had an eye for vintage items since he was a teenager.  He introduced me to the fun of "junking" not the other way around. :D
I'm also linking this to James' Weekend Reflections.

This is one of numerous stained glass creations that Derek has made.  I'll be featuring more of them on my blog

A Photo a Day: My Daily Sustenance, Day 16

yet another view from my son and daughter-in law's kitchen window
Derek loves the outdoors so I am glad he has his home here.  But I wouldn't mind having a small cabin on his property!

A Photo a Day: My Daily Sustenance, Day 14

Even though we have a saying about being sad, "as in being blue", I feel uplifted when I look at the blues in my kitchen window. Both the Milk of Magnesia bottle and the citrate of magnesia bottle were bought at flea markets.
I also feel blessed for my son Derek who makes beautiful stained glass items and is generous in giving them as gifts, i.e. my snowflake sun-catcher.
