A Photo a Day: My Daily Sustenance, Day 285

Curiosity
enticed Ting Ting to the bag,
she's inside... and caught!

Putting away groceries, I normally just let the bags drop until all the refrigerated bits and pieces are safely put away in the fridge. But that's only part of it, I enjoy watching Jax and Ting's antics with bags while I'm occupied with mundane tasks.  My youngest son had gone with me to heft heavier items.  When he saw Ting immersed in the bag, he picked her up.  So, I had to stop right there and snap her photo.  I want to assure my cat people, she was put down as soon as I caught her image.
Do you suppose this is how the saying of "letting the cat out of the bag" originated? I wonder...

A Photo a Day: My Daily Sustenance, Day 255

Jax trails after her,
following the leader Ting,
at ease in the tub.

I know that humans affect other people's behavior, but I had never thought much about how a new animal in the mix impacts another.  That has certainly happened with Ting's demeanor asserting itself upon Jax.  Before Ting Ting joined our family, Jax jumped only into empty boxes or onto the sofa.  Now he joins Ting wherever she happens to be.
I have never in my life had cat hair in a tub!  Oh, well, it is easier to sweep the hair there than to take the lint roller on furniture.

A Photo a Day: My Daily Sustenance, Day 237

Before the arrival of Ting Ting, I had one piece of furniture on which I never had to use the lint roller to dispose of cat hair.  Jax did not like the fact that it moved when he jumped on it, so he would immediately jump off the glider.  But, no...such luck for that to continue. With Ting with whom he cuddles, he now is more than fine with the chair!

A Photo a Day: My Daily Sustenance, Day 201

I was taking all my sheer curtains and kitchen curtains down yesterday to wash and refresh them.  Ting Ting was making sure that the sheers didn't get away while I was busy taking down the kitchen curtains.  She also is a big "help" when I make my bed.
What a helper she is!  Not!

Shadow Shot Sunday

Ting Ting will jump into baskets and boxes and crawl into sacks and open drawers, cabinets, and even a microwave or dishwasher.  Too often my camera is not handy, but this time she was playing with the laundry ball long enough for me to capture her shadow and that of the laundry basket.

I hope you all are enjoying cooler temperatures.  Indiana is!

A Photo a Day: My Daily Sustenance, Day 159

Ting Ting is an unlimited source of entertainment for me, even when she's on surfaces I'd rather she wouldn't be.

A Photo a Day: My Daily Sustenance, Day 131

Just a few seconds before I snapped this, Ting Ting (Siamese cat)  was napping on the sofa.  Jax jumped up, was edging his front paw toward her, then next thing I know she's on the arm of the sofa ready for a fight!  But...it didn't happen.

A Photo a Day: My Daily Sustenance, Day 128

May I present Jax's and my new housemate Ting Ting?  Saturday I went to Petsmart for litter and food for Jax.  Action for Animals was there with kitties needing adoption.  First Jeremy and I noticed how much her coat resembled Dakota (a kitty we loved so much), then her beautiful blue eyes.  I admit they don't show well here, but at least she's out in the open.  And...she just came home with me Sunday.  She isn't settled in enough to sit still.  So the 50 some snaps I captured while she was running, investigating every nook and cranny in my abode.  Jax, Son and I are entranced by her.  She's definitely a keeper!
