My friend Sandi and her husband, who are moving to Ft. Wayne, made me the guardian of the statue of our Blessed Mother Mary. I placed her here to greet visitors as they approach my home.
so sorry you feel that way. I wasn't Catholic till I was a mom with 3 little ones. Then I taught in 2 Catholic schools- one for 11 years, the last one for 19 years. I especially loved teaching first grade!

This statue so reminds me of my convent school days. I'm not so sure I would find it welcoming - too many memories.
